Day 33: #IGottaGoToWork

Hansol Ji 2015

Ever since I started working at Game7 Marketing, I have been working on Nike’s biggest summer activations for their basketball segment. On July 8th, Nike will roll out its first basketball training sessions to the general public. Named as the “Proving Grounds”, it will be Nike’s first summer hub where Nike+ members will be able to exclusively train, compete, and elevate their games with some of New York’s basketball legends, such as God Shammgod and Smush Parker. Today was the last day in the office as we tightened loose ends and prepared to head out to Pier 2 for the next 5 weeks.

“However, while I may not be able to learn that from the structured MSBA programming, I’m confident that my internship experience will play a huge part in my professional development.”

This is a bitter sweet moment for me as I’m ecstatic and blessed to work on Nike Basketball’s first training event, but apprehensive as I will be ending at 10 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This means that starting from next week, I have to miss almost all the MSBA related activities for the next three weeks. Even though the first five weeks went by like a blur, I feel as if I barely scratched the surface in terms of what the sports industry has to offer. However, while I may not be able to learn that from the structured MSBA programming, I’m confident that my internship experience will play a huge part in my professional development.
