As the halfway point of this unforgettable MSBA experience arrived with week 4 of my internship coming to a close, I had the opportunity to escape the hustle of the city for a few days and head south to Chesapeake Bay for a family wedding. I’ve enjoyed every second of my time in New York and my internship with the New York Red Bulls thus far, but the trip was definitely a welcome change of pace – a great chance to unwind with my family and share some stories from my incredible first month in the big city. I would not be able to experience this amazing program with all of these great people if it wasn’t for the support and encouragement of my family. So, this weekend served as an opportunity to express my gratitude and catch up with those who have made this summer possible.
After enjoying the wedding and the spectacular sunny weekend on the bay, I felt completely recharged and excited to jump back into the New York grind. As I look ahead to the second and final month of MSBA14, I can’t help but get excited about all that we have to look forward to. From office visits to the NFL and NBA, to finally experiencing my first Red Bulls home game, it will undoubtedly be equally as, if not even more, unforgettable than the first month. I’m excited to continue my growth both personally and professionally and make the most out of the remaining weeks that I have here. As difficult as it is to say, the end of the summer will be here before we know it, so I won’t be taking any days for granted!
