It’s amazing how one month can go by so quickly and so slowly at the same time. We are now at the halfway point of MSBA 2016, and I feel like I’ve learned a lifetime of information, many career tips, and a great deal about myself in just a few weeks. I feel like I am growing every day living in New York City, at my internship with Lagardère Sports, and in every MSBA experience.
“MSBA and my internship experience have given me a great basis for how to be successful in the sports industry. Above all, I have learned what steps I need to take in order to grow even more and to eventually establish myself within this industry.”
This is my first time in New York for an extended amount of time, and I have always wanted the chance to explore the state and the East Coast. Though I love the city and my life in it, sometimes it can make you feel a little trapped and overwhelmed; this weekend, I got to escape it all for a little while. I spent one night at the Jersey Shore, which was everything I hoped it would be, and then spent another night with some of my best friends from school on Long Island. This gave me the chance to not only to test out some East Coast beaches, but also to reminisce on everything that has happened to me since school got out over two months ago.
When we all sat together and watched the fireworks on Long Island, I began to truly see how much I have grown this summer. MSBA and my internship experience have given me a great basis for how to be successful in the sports industry. Above all, I have learned what steps I need to take in order to grow even more and to eventually establish myself within this industry. As of right now, I can say with confidence that I am in the right place, and I look forward to taking the next steps this summer and beyond.
