Day 44: Make It Last

TJ Doganiero 2015

The summer needs to slow down as soon as possible. The day I got the call from Lorne and David admitting me into MSBA feels like yesterday, yet somehow, my time in New York is almost over. I remember boarding the plane at Tampa International Airport with three overweight bags and no idea just how much this summer would change my life forever. I have met some of the brightest, most charismatic and kind-hearted people both in MSBA and on the job at Thuzio – all of whom have such bright futures and I envision our friendships lasting a lifetime. I have also been exposed to a 360-degree view of the industry and have learned countless ways one can operate in the world of sports through the MSBA programming. I have identified personal strengths that I was previously unaccustomed to and have begun fine tuning weaknesses in order to flip the script. This summer at Thuzio has been a jaw-dropping experience. I can honestly say that without MSBA, I would not have had the opportunity to gain the knowledge that I have acquired this summer, and for that I am forever grateful.

“I have also been exposed to a 360-degree view of the industry and have learned countless ways one can operate in the world of sports through the MSBA programming.”

Being a start-up company, the atmosphere and daily operations at Thuzio align perfectly with a young, passionate student like myself, eager to learn every aspect of a business rather then being confined to a specific task or duty. The open floor plan combined with a collaborative, business causal environment makes the workday more of a blessing rather than something to be dreaded. Thuzio has made waking up and going to work in the morning fun, which is rare in the life of an intern. The full-time employees treat me like family and I love the direction that the company is headed. Just last week I was exposed to my first detailed investor deck that is currently being used for our second round funding initiative. With rapid expansion on the horizon, MSBA could not have linked me up with a better company to fine-tune my skill set for the road ahead. I have earned the trust of my superiors by showing up early and leaving late and getting my work done quickly and efficiently. This summer has been beyond my wildest expectations and the best decision that I have made to date.

Thank You MSBA,
